Details Itinerary

Day 1 : Arrival Yangon Sightseeing - Mandalay

Upon arrival at Yangon International Airport welcome by our local guide . Sightseeing starts with Yangon Colonial Style city center and enjoy photographing for a panoramic view of city. Proceed to Mahabandoola Park with Independent Monument ~ have a memorable scene of colonial building then enjoy lunch at Restaurant. After lunch, we proceed to the biggest Chaukhtetgyi reclining Buddha statue-72 meters long huge colossal image. In the evening we go to the Kandawgyi Lake for photo taking and then sunset at Shwedagon Pagoda, over 2600-years-old gigantic golden stupa in Yangon. It is the holiest place of the Buddhist people and land mark of the country. Enjoy sunset at Pagoda. After take a shower and dinner at the hotel transfer to Yangon High way Bus station .Overnight bus to Mandalay .( VIP  Bus )

Day 02 : River Cruise to Mingun – Mandalay 

 Early morning, Arrive Mandalay Bus station where your driver will meet and welcome you. Early check in and free time for relaxation.After breakfast, boat excursion (one hour each way) up the Ayeyarwaddy river to Mingun, site of the world’s largest intact bronze bell, 3.7 meters high and weighting 87 tons. Also visit the huge but unfinished Mingun paya (built with the intention of being the world’s biggest pagoda) and the beautiful Hsinbyume paya, Settawya Pagoda, Myatheindan Pagoda with seven concentric terraces at the base. Then transfer back to Mandalay. After lunch, sightseeing includes Mahamuni Buddha Image with its spectacular Buddha image covered with thick layer of gold leaves, Shwe Nan Daw Kyaung ( Golden Palace Monastery), a superb example of a traditional wooden building, and Kuthodaw Pagoda (known as the world’s largest book), consisting of 729 marble slabs engraved with Buddhist scriptures and enjoy the sunset at Mandalay Hill, advantage point for a panoramic view of the city.Overnight hotel in Mandalay

Day 03:  Amurapura – Sagaing  – Inwa (Ava) - Bagan 

 After breakfast, transfer  to Amurapura for sightseeing. Visit Mahagandayon Monastery, a famous Buddhist monastery where more than a thousand monks live and study Buddhist literature. Then,drive to Sagaing Hills over Ava Bridge across the Ayeyarwaddy River. Sagaing, once an ancient capital, lies 21 km south west of Mandalay, besides the Ayeyarwaddy River. Sagaing Hills are dotted with pagodas and there are over 500 monasteries and meditation centers, a retreat for 6000 monks and nuns. Visit Soon U Ponya Shin Pagoda, U Min Thonese Pagoda. And then drive back to Mandalay. On the way back to Mandalay enjoy the beautiful sunset at 1.2 km-long U Bein Wooden Bridge built in 1782 at the time when Amarapura was the royal capital then transfer  back to hotel to take a shower .After dinner transfer to Mandalay train station.Overnight train to Bagan ( Upper Class )

Day 04 : Bagan Arrival 

 In the morning arrive Bagan train station where your driver will meet and welcome you.Then transfer to hotel Early check in and free time for relaxation. Excursion by car start with Shwezigone Pagoda- built in 1087 by King Anawratha who is the founder of the first Myanmar Empire.Nat ( Sprits ) images can be found within its precincts.Then observe the most venerated Ananda temple, built in 1090. It is the masterpiece of the early style temple architecture of Bagan error. Next must stop see is 66 meters high Thatbyitnnyu temple built in the middle of the 12th century as the highest pagoda on Bagan Plain. Then study 12th century mural painting inside the Gubyaukgyi temple, built in 1113 by princess Rajakumar. After that, visit a local family workshop to watch about the production process of lacquer ware, one of Myanmar’s best-known handicrafts. Evening highlights are Manuhar pagoda – built by king Manuhar, probably to portray his life as a POW ( Prisoner Of War ); unfinished Dhamagyi temple – Bagan’s most massive temple built in 1167 AD. Finally, breathtaking sunset from Shwesandaw Pagoda – most popular sunset-viewing spots in Bagan.Lunch and Dinner at decent restaurant. Overnight stay at hotel in Bagan.

Day 05 : Bagan Full Day Sightseeing  

Today you can choose Horse Cart or by Electric Bike .Horse cart with driver but if you want to visit by Electric we will arrange a bike for you .Highlight for today: Lawkhananda Pagoda – look over Ayeyarwaddy river from acliff top; Bu Paya-pagoda with bulbous dome resembling the ‘ Bu’ or gourd; Dhama Yazaka Zedi – located in Pwasaw village & built in 1196 AD; Nagayon pagoda – a very elegant form with a standing stucco image of Buddha under the hood of a huge naga ( serpent ); Kyansit-tha Umin- where you can see murals painting from the 13th century; Ananda Okkyaung-a brick monastery with 18th century mural paintings; Nathlaung Kyaung – the only remaining Hindu temple in Bagan; Than day Kyar – Buddha Image built with solid sand stones in 13th century; Sulamani Temple – a red brick temple features delicate masonry work; Lawka Teikpan pagoda – quick small in size is of considerable importance owing to fine frescoes and ink inscriptions dated 12 century; Htilominlo Temple – known for its elaborate plaster moldings dated 1211 AD; Nan Paya – ne of the two sand stone temples in Bagan. Finally, breathtaking sunset from Pyat Thet Gyi temple. Lunch and Dinner at decent restaurant.Overnight hotel in Bagan.

Day 06: Bagan  - Mt Popa 

 After breakfast, visit Mt.Popa, an extinct volcano and 60-km south-east of Bagan and 1500-meters high. Well known as the oasis of the central Myanmar dry zone and with a shrine dedicated to animist spirits known as “Nats”. For the energetic, time to climb 777 steps to a shrine at the top of the volcanic plug accompanied by a crowd of monkeys. This effort will be rewarded many times by the extraordinary panoramic view of the surrounding landscape. Popa National Park with dense sandal wood forest and rare species of birds and butterflies, Local market are worth to see. Then drive back to hotel Overnight in Bagan

Day 07 : Bagan – Kalaw  ( By Bus )

 In the morning after breakfast transfer to bus station to go to Kalaw.On the way nice mountain view.Arrive to Kalaw in the evening .Overnight hotel in Kalaw.

Day 08 : Kalaw– Shabin (trekking) (L,D)

 Early morning start your 3 days trekking trip. The road and trail goes through beautiful scenery. On the way visit the villages of Palaung, Danu, Pao and Taung Yoe. Your local station tour guide Ko Paul will introduce you to the villagers and will show you the traditional ways of life. Lunch in Hinkhagone a Palaung village. The path goes up and down. Native along the way do the plantation for Tea leaves, Coffee, Cordial leaves, Mustard, Ginger, Malt Rice, Cabbage, Cauliflower, Sesame. Late afternoon you will arrive to Shabin a typical Danu village with 12th Century old wooden monastery. Dinner and overnight in the village.

Day 09 : Shabin – Teetain (trekking) (B,L,D)

 After your breakfast at the monastery continue your trekking trip. It is about 7 hours trekking. The people in this area grow fruits; Arvogado, Banana, Oranges, Jack fruits, Papaya. You will have the chance to see the crab apple trees along the way together with some shady Banyan trees. Lunch at Pawke a Pao village. After lunch you have to walk for another 3½ hours to Teetain a typical Pao village. Native along this way do the plantation especially for Ginger. Dinner and overnight in the village.

Day 10 : Teetain - Thandaung (Trekking) – Naung Shwe (B,L)

 After breakfast continue the 5 hours trekking trip to the shore of the Inle lake. The trail goes through beautiful scenery of Bamboo forest. The natives of Pao, Taung Yoe and Intha along the way grow fruits; Banana, Papaya, Potato and Beans. Lunch at lower Thandaung village. In the afternoon transfer by boat to your hotel.

Day 11 : Inle Lake sightseeing

In the morning after breakfast. Morning drive to Nyaung Shwe Jetty. sightseeing by private boat. Sightseeing includes; a chance to see the leg-rowing fishermen. Continue to see the floating gardens, built up from strips of water hyacinth and mud and anchored to the bottom with bamboo poles. Explore in and around the lake by small boat. Learn the life of fishermen, and floating gardens on which fruits, flowers, and vegetables are grown. Visit Nampan market or Ywama floating market or another one (depend on five days’ movement) to watch the colorful minorities of Shan State. Phaungdawoo Pagoda is right in the center of the lake and famous for it’s five shapeless Buddha Images heavily gilded with gold. Then continue to floating village to learn the daily life of Intha people. Visit Silversmith, hand loom weaving in Einpawkone village, and boat making. Ngahpechaung Monastery is one of the famous for its’ well trained jumping cats. Overnight in Naung Shwe.

Day 12 : Inle Lake - Pindaya - Yangon

In the morning after breakfast drive to Pindaya cave in which thousand of Buddha Images are adorned at every corner of the niche. Again stop at Ngetpyawtaw village to learn the Local bamboo umbrella making and village, then to Yechansin village to study the Bamboo hat making. Then transfer to Heho airport then fly back to Yangon. Upon arrival at Yangon your guide will meet and welcome you.Overnight hotel in Yangon.

Day 13 :Yangon Shopping & Departure

Today is the last day in Myanmar. After breakfast, you should go shopping for your beloved ones or for yourself at Bogyoke (Scott’s) Market where you can find Myanmar famous gems and jewellary sales centers, Myanmar traditional products such as antiques, wood and jade carvings, cotton and silk fabrics, lacquerware, paintings, silverware, tapestries, slippers, Longyis, souvenir and so on. After lunch at leisure, evening transfer to airport for departure flight.
